Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Clipciety desktop app ("Clipciety", "the app"), made by Sinciety ("we", "us"). By installing or using Clipciety, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. What Clipciety does
Clipciety helps streamers find highlights in their streams, edit them into short clips, and post the clips they choose to platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. It runs on your computer and works with software and accounts you already have, such as OBS Studio, Twitch, TikTok and YouTube.
2. Your license to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Clipciety for your own content creation. You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense the app, or use it to build a competing product.
3. Your content
- You own your streams, recordings, clips and posts. We don't claim any rights to them.
- You are responsible for the content you create and post with Clipciety, including making sure you have the rights to everything in it (for example music, game footage, other people's voices or images) and that it follows the rules of each platform you post to.
- Clipciety only posts when you choose to post. Review clips, titles and captions, including ones suggested by AI, before you post them.
4. Connected platforms
When you connect TikTok, YouTube, Twitch or another service, your use of that service is governed by its own terms and policies, for example TikTok's Terms of Service and Music Usage Confirmation, and YouTube's Terms of Service. Platforms can change or restrict their features at any time, which may affect what Clipciety can do. You can disconnect any platform at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Clipciety to:
- post content you don't have the right to post, or content that is illegal, harmful or harassing;
- spam, manipulate engagement, or break any platform's rules or rate limits;
- interfere with, reverse engineer or bypass the app's security, except where the law allows it.
6. AI features
Optional AI features use a third-party service (Anthropic) with your own API key, and you are responsible for that key and any charges for its use. AI suggestions can be inaccurate or inappropriate, so check them before posting.
7. Plans and payment
Clipciety may offer free and paid plans. If you buy a paid plan, its price, billing period and limits will be shown before you pay. Billing is not active yet; we'll update these terms before any payment is taken.
8. Updates
Clipciety updates itself automatically to fix problems and add features. Updates are never installed while you're live. Some features may change or be removed over time.
9. No warranty
Clipciety is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee that it will detect every highlight, that it will be error-free, or that posts will perform in any particular way. Keep your own copies of recordings you care about.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Sinciety is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost content, profits or data, arising from your use of Clipciety. Our total liability for any claim relating to Clipciety is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Clipciety at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you break these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using Clipciety after a change, you accept the updated terms.
